Chateau and Environs Pictures

Day 1
Arrive at the chateau in the early evening.
Your hosts welcome you with a champagne reception followed by an informal supper party.

Day 2
Today you will participate in a hands-on cookery demonstration given by a local restaurateur. This is a fun day, and allows you the opportunity to cook with the best local ingredients available.
Dinner this evening will be the result of all your hard work!

Day 3
Visit the great historic vineyards of Pomerol and St Emilion, where the first vines were planted by the Romans.
A guided tour of a chateau will allow you to sample and purchase wine if you wish.
Dinner will be hosted by a local wine expert, who will share some of his knowledge with you.

Day 4
Visit the farm kitchen of a renowned Perigordine cook.
She will demonstrate a traditional cuisine that is amongst the finest in France, featuring foie gras, confit de canard and the elusive truffle.
Dinner will be taken at the chateau.

Day 5
Today we visit the picturesque mediaeval village of Aubeterre, with its monolithic church hollowed out of the cliffside rock over a period of 800 years.
Lunch is at a charming country manor house.
Afterwards we visit the studio of a renowned local artist. Dinner will be at a nearby rustic chateau; the restaurant is an
auberge and everything you eat and drink here is produced on the premises.
