Topic Informal Newsletter,

Hello everyone

I know it is already Thursday afternoon as I write, which is very short notice, but I wouldn't want anyone to forget that, it being September, Guest Nights start again in earnest.

Well, tonight is Roy Clinging, who must be keen as he has written asking for directions! I must confess I don't know his material, but expect to know a lot more by later this evening. It would be good to get the new season off to a good start with a good attendance. Audience, floor singers, everyone all welcome as usual. 8.30 ish start.

The following week (12 September) it is the AGM for members; with a singaround afterwards.

The week after that (19 September) it is a welcome return for Pete Castle, described by Topic MC and Guru Pete Mitton as one of the best interpreters of English Folk Song around.

The week after that, 26 September, is for many The Big One - Keiran Halpin. I'm looking forward to seeing him live again. This evening will also see the first of the Autumn Season's "featured Support" spots, with Anne Curran.

Then it will be Ray Stubbs, the one-man Blues Band, on 3 October. But well by then I'll have done another proper Newsletter.

Hope to see as many as possible of you tonight!
