How Bradford looked in 1800, with the site of the Cock & Bottle marked near the old Paper Hall. The current building was built 20 years later, a successor to some previous inn on or near the site. A close look shows that the cathedral was then a parish church, Vicar Lane was called Dead Lane and Canal Road was a canal... in fact there are several becks as well in the middle of town. A lot changed by 1889 and the 21stC.
