TOPIC FOLK CLUB Newsletter No. 94 - December 2009 At the Bradford Irish Club, Rebecca Street, BD1 2RX - a wheelchair-friendly venue Newsletter No. 94 - December 2009 This month begins with a guest night, as we finished November with a singers & musicians night. The proprietors of the New Beehive Inn kindly welcomed us for that one. Many thanks to them and to everyone who was there to perform and/or listen. Non-members are welcome, but if you would like to join you may do so any Thursday evening at the club. The annual membership fee is just £5. Being a member entitles you to the lower ticket price shown in this newsletter, as well as the chance to become more involved in the workings of the club if you would like to. A reminder to current members: your membership runs until 31st December, so it will soon be time to renew! You may do this when you next attend the club in the New Year. The Topic now has Myspace (www.myspace.com/topicfolkclub) and Facebook pages. Thanks to Jimmy & Val, also known as Jiva, for setting up the Myspace and to Joe Grint for taking it over and maintaining it, as well as setting up the Facebook account (search for "Topic Fc" on Facebook and you should find it). The Topic runs on Thursdays at the BRADFORD IRISH CLUB. 8.30pm start. (Singers & Musicians nights start at 8.15pm) Floor singers are always welcome, especially in the first half.
