TOPIC FOLK CLUB, BRADFORD At the Bradford Irish Club, Rebecca Street, BD1 2RX Newsletter No. 127 – December 2012 Hello again everyone, It's difficult to believe that another festive season is nearly upon us again. For some much-needed relief from the stress of trudging round the shops or poring over online shopping websites, why not come down to the Topic for some real live acoustic music. There are only 2 guest nights this month: make the most of them. 6th December 13th December 20th December It's up to you whether you're too comfy at home with friends or the TV or both, or needing to get out and do something, but we'll be there for you if you need to come down and sing that new song, play that old tune or just chill out. Even more informal than usual. Perhaps a mince pie, if you haven't had enough by then! Free entry. Coming in January: Bella Gaffney; Will Kaufman's presentation on Woody Guthrie; Steve Hicks & Lynn Goulborn; Wendy Arrowsmith. Busy month. More details in the next newsletter or see http://www.topic-folk-club.org.uk Topical, but non-Topic, News Cathryn Craig and Brian Willoughby, who have appeared at the Topic, and will be doing so again in 2013, have written a sensitive song of encouragement for the survivors and families of the Hillsborough tragedy victims.
