TOPIC FOLK CLUB, BRADFORD At the Bradford Irish Club, Rebecca Street, BD1 2RX a wheelchair-friendly venue Newsletter No. 108 - March 2011 Welcome to the March 2011 edition of the Topic newsletter. After a fabulous February with great performances by Tom Kitching & Gren Bartley, Swarb and Lester Simpson we are looking forward to a memorable March which features visits from Jez Lowe, Lucy Ward and Darren Poyzer and friends, as well as two nights where the floor will be open to anyone who wishes to perform - our usual 'first Thursday' Singers & Musicians night and a St Patrick Special Open Mic on Wednesday 16th March. If you are keen on social networking why not join us on Facebook where you will receive a reminder of guest nights and, if you wish, will also be able to chat with the club organisers and existing friends. Hope to see you there! Also don't forget to visit our website where you will find lots of information and our page listing artists who have appeared at the club since 1960 - some happy memories there for many I would imagine! Look forward to seeing you soon! The next newsletter will be sent out around 10 April with details of performances by Tom Bliss & Phil Wilcox, Jinski and Jason McNiff. All music starts at 8.30 except where indicated March 3 March 10 For those new to the folk scene suffice it to say that Jez has been a purveyor of the finest quality folk songs and entertaining live performances for many years now and has gathered a loyal mass of fans across the world.
